TANDEM is a special tandem carriage for ultrasonic testing of transverse welding joint in the chromium-nickel inserting welded joint zone from the rolling surface side. The use of the TANDEM scanner with the Tomographic UD4-TM standard flaw detector allows scanning of the rail with the required step, remembering in real time the coordinates of the occurrence of defects and constructing their tomographic images.
