"USM-8.40" was specially developed for application in the aerospace industry and intended for the automated testing of different aerostructures in the serial production. In particular, "USM-8.40" uses the echo pulse testing method to test titanium rods for discontinuities. This procedure was developed by order of the Moscow Federal State Unitary Organization "Salut" and is successfully implemented in this organization.
Rod diameter range, mm - 10 … 40
Rod length range, mm - 150 … 400
Rod curvature, mm/ïrm - not more than 3
Tested rod temperature, °C - 10 … 35
Multichannel system consists of electronic and acoustic modules with the special program and set of transducers.
"USM-8.270" AXLE BILLETS TESTING
Flaw detector USM-8.270 is used in metallurgy industry for the automated ultrasonic testing of primary billets. The software is developed for detection of such internal flaws as discontinuity, structure inhomogeneity and other. The method is developed according to GOST 4728 by order of the Dneprovsky Dzerjinsky metallurgical works (Ukraine), where it is successfully used.
Axle billet diameter, mm - 210 … 300
Axle billet length, m - 3 … 7,5
Billet surface - hot-rolled
Billet temperature, °C - not more than 50
The principles of flaw detector operation are based on the ultrasonic echo-pulse and mirror-shadow methods.
"USM-8.25" PIPES THICKNESS GAUGING
The problem of inspection of seamless thin-walled pipes, which are widely used in the atomic power engineering is one of the most important problems for the manufacturing works. "Votum" company has developed the Multichannel Resonance Thickness Gauge USM-8.25 for ultrasonic automated detection of pipe wall thickness and tracking of its offset from the set-up values.
Testing parameters:
wall thickness, mm - 0,2-12
external diameter, mm - 5-114
diameter to wall thickness ratio - 10 and more for the wall thickness within 0,6mm
diameter to wall thickness ratio - 7 for the wall thickness over 0.6mm and 1100-1800mm length
Pipe material:
stainless steel 08õ17Ò, 08õ18Í10Ò and other;
titanium alloys (ÂÒ, ÂÏ);
zirconium alloys.
The system consists of the electronic module, 8-chanel immersion acoustic module, display facilities, special software and set of transducers. Acoustic module is a universal construction that can be embedded in any take-off assembly.
Depending on the tested pipes diameter, there are 3 types of acoustic module: for pipes diameter of 5-25mm, 20-65mm è 60-114mm. Change of diameter for each range is carried out by remounting the seal set.
USM-8.25 is used at Nikopol pipe works (Ukraine) for application in the serial line production.
