USM-8 provides integration of different NDT methods (EMA, UT, Eddy current) in one complex. It allows to perform independent setting of channels in the flaw detection or thickness gauging modeswith implementation of all known testing methods: single, pulse-echo, dual, pulse-echo, pitch-and-catch, shadow, immersion, etc. They are widely used in continuous production flows with linear movement of objects from 0.3 to 10 m/s.
USM-8 is provided with own controls and visualization tools; the software is designed, using standard Windows technologies that ensure easy system service and development. USM-8 is provided with the software and hardware support of different specialized flaw detection equipment: pitch sensor, light-operated switch, coordinate device, defect-controller, light and audible alarms, etc.
Key features
Programmable outgoing pulse form.
Programmable excitation pulse amplitude.
Programmable pulse repetition frequency from 100Hz to 10kHz.
Simultaneous and/or consecutive probe excitation and reception by all channels.
Color display.
Connection of technological equipment: alarm, display devices, etc
PC link via the 10/100BASE-T interface, using the Operator’s Workbench.
Operator's Workbench is the specialized software intended for the computer processing and saving of testing results received from the flaw detector archive. The archive of the USM-8 base unit enables to create and save testing results and settings. It also enables to select them and transmit archived information (from PC) into external media.
