The software module "Probe certification " enables to determine the main transducer characteristics such as angle of incidence, prism delay and to build a Diameter Amplitude Curve (DAC) diagram of the probe per standard specimens OH-1 or ÑÎ3-Ð. If the ÑÎ3-Ð specimen is used, the program also determines the ultrasonic propagation velocity in the specimen. It allows to use the probes of different producers and estimate their individual error and wear rate.
The screen displays indication of the reflector, which signal must be received, and the envelope curve. The signal with the maximal amplitude is accepted for further operation. It is sufficienth to carry out three measurements.
After the parameters are taken, the program allows checking accuracy of the DAC diagram on the flaw, which equivalent square is known and then saving results in the archive. (fig.1).
The program operates with the detected signal, facilitating visual perception.
