ROBOSKOP VT-3000

ROBOTIC NDT SYSTEM.

 

"ROBOSKOP" VT-3000 is intended for the nondestructive testing (NDT) of a wide range of parts and provides quick changeover and adaptation to different forms and dimension types of testing objects.

Testing technique and replacing of probes are automatically performed in compliance with the executed testing technique.

During the testing process, "ROBOSKOP" VT-3000 provides the pre-set velocity and movement trajectory, necessary positioning accuracy and probe incidence angle.  Applications of the robotized station are determined by its potential NDT techniques:

  • Eddy current technique (EC)  is the basic technique and applied to inspect the parts and assemblies manufactured from the ferromagnetic and non-ferromagnetic alloys in order to detect the surface and subsurface defects, including the cracks, corrosion and thermal damaging. The provided dynamic mode enables to inspect the through bores and attaching holes (with rotary probes).
  • Impedance technique (IT) - additional mode that is applied to inspect the composite constructions (honeycomb structures) in order to detect disbonds and discontinuities.
  • Laser scanning (LS) - coupled mode, which is applied to measure the geometrical parameters of inspected parts. See video.
  • Electromagnetic acoustic (EMA) technique - additional mode,  that enables to inspect metal constructions  without any contact liquid and work with the materials, having the pain-and-lacquer coating or dirty surface (rust, corrosion, etc.).
 

 "ROBOSKOP" VT-3000 provides:

  • automatic connection/disconnection of the necessary probe;
  • scanning of the part’s surface along the pre-set trajectory;
  • tracking of the current coordinates of working probes in a real time mode;
  • activation of the automatic defect alarm (FAS);
  • analysis and archive recording of testing results.

There are two design versions of Roboskop VT300:
 
  • The desk-type or built-in design (is applied for the serial flow testing of the objects, having the small geometrical parameters up to 1000 mm3);
  • The portal with the additional height and width displacement mechanisms (the system is aimed at NDT of large-sized objects 2500х3000mm);

Visualization
  • Representation of testing results in the complex plane and (or) B-scan;
  • Color-coded indication of the defected and defect-free testing areas;
  • Displaying of the probe movement trajectory in the pre-set system of coordinates.
Control
  • Hardware adjustment and data transfer via TCP/IP;
  • Variation of scanning velocities up to 200 mm/s;
  • Audible and light alarm when detecting defect(s), having the electrical conductivity (0,4-40)*106 CM/m.
